Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, the rapid development and spread of drones has attracted attention in a variety of fields, military, agriculture, and entertainment. On the other hand, since anyone can easily get reasonable and high-performance drones, there are concerns that malicious people may use drones for crimes or terrorism. The realization of a system to detect, monitor, and capture such drones has become an important issue. Previously we have confirmed that a Fast Chirp Modulation (FCM) radar using millimeter-wave can obtain characteristic echo (Micro-Doppler) from drone’s propellers. In this paper, we investigate the micro-doppler characteristics from the propellers and discuss its applicability for drone classification.
