Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we propose an improvement for ego-vehicle speed estimation with in-vehicle millimeter wave radar and discuss an estimation of obstacles distribution using the ego-vehicle speed. The conventional method occurs estimation errors by clutter peaks in the vehicle speed spectrum when our vehicle turns left or right. Therefore, we propose a reference signal for ego-vehicle speed estimation. The reference signal is calculated based on the regular peaks of vehicle speed spectrum and suppress the influence of the clutter peaks. The ego-vehicle speed estimation based on the reference signal reduce the errors. We present an experiment to measure the ego-vehicle speed and obstacles distribution. We discuss the improvement of ego-vehicle estimation with our proposed method and possibility obstacle estimation with the results. |
