Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Red/blue wavelength division multiplexing was combined with space division multiplexing to increase symbol rate and improve physical security of space division multiplexing, low-luminance uplink optical camera communication using a smartphone screen transmitter and an indoor camera receiver at a distance of 3 meters. Improvement of data rate and lowering of the screen luminance was simultaneously realized by newly proposed adaptive thresholding of received red/blue pixel values considering the spatial and wavelength inter-symbol interference. Red/blue wavelength division multiplexing achieved 300k symbols per second using 100 x 100 cells per frame when the screen pixel value is the maximum, 255. The symbol rate is twice as much as that of space division multiplexing using a red- or blue-single wavelength transmission. On the other hand, red/blue wavelength division multiplexing achieved 108k symbols per second using 60 x 60 cells per frame by the low-luminance screen when the pixel value is 95. The symbol rate is also twice as much as that of a red- or blue-single wavelength transmission. |
