Effect of Afterschool Project using Minecraft and Discord

Abstract(in English) Abstract Aidai Maicra is an afterschool project for elementary and secondary school students, sponsored by Faculty of Education at Ehime University, using Minecraft and Discord. The present study reports the preliminary effect of the project on the student participants, expressed by the parents who completed a questionnaire form. The most perceived effect of the project were joy of participation and facilitation of collaborative communication by their participation. In the background of the effect, volunteered university students enjoyed themselves to play with the school children as good neighbors, and supported them with positive verbal feedback to promote their confidence.
