Abstract(in English) | Wide deployment of FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) radar causes inter-radar interference which results in miss-detection and/or false detection of the targets. The authors have proposed an iterative interference suppression scheme which performs the interference detection and suppression in an iterative manner by updating the interference detection threshold. This report reveals that the iterative interference suppression scheme fails the interference reduction due to RF input and/or AD input saturation if the interference radar is located in close proximity to the measuring radar. Then, this report proposes a countermeasures to solve this input saturation problem caused by the close proximity wideband interference and confirms the validity of the proposed countermeasure by computer simulations. |
