Abstract(in English) | Implantable medical devices need to have their batteries replaced about 10 years after implantation. Wireless power transfer (WPT) from outside the body has been attracting attention as a solution to this problem. In this study, we evaluated the possibility of WPT for devices embedded in the body using the capacitive coupling method. Consequently, $eta_{rm max}$ of 56.6% could be reached for a semicircular coupler with a transmission distance of 5 mm, a radius of 20 mm, and a distance of 10 mm between adjacent couplers. Furthermore, SAR evaluation results showed that WPT is possible with an input power of less than 200 mW, which satisfies safety standards. |
