Abstract(in English) | A linear consecutive-$k$-out-of-$n$:G system consists of $n$ components which are arranged in a line and the system works if and only if at least $k$ consecutive components work. This paper proposes a condition-based maintenance policy for a linear consecutive-$k$-out-of-$n$:G system. We assume that system is monitored continuously and the condition about components can be known at any time. In one renewal cycle, the system will be maintained preventively by replacing the failed components with the new ones at a certain time interval after a condition approaching to system failure is satisfied. If the system fails before, system will be maintained correctively. A path method is used to calculate the system failure probability, expected number of failed components and expected maintenance time. Using these results, the expected cost rate under the condition-based maintenance is obtained, and the optimal maintenance interval can be derived by minimizing it. |
