Abstract(in English) | A novel six-layers stacked wideband metamaterial is proposed for a dual-band wireless power transfer (WPT) system. First, two types of unit cells with opposite polarizations compose metamaterials. Each type of metamaterial can improve the WPT efficiency either in the lower band or higher band only. Then, a six-layers metamaterial is constructed by stacking these two types of metamaterials in a 2-dimensional (2D) configuration. As a result, the proposed metamaterial is effective at both bands. The size of the proposed WPT system (both transmitter and receiver) and the metamaterial is 15 x 15 mm2 and 20 x 20 mm2, respectively. As a result, at the WPT distance of 29 mm, the WPT increased from 2.7% at 390 MHz and 3.2% 780 MHz on each band to 64.2% at 396 MHz and 29.6% at 770 MHz, respectively. |
