QoS Evaluation over In-Vehicle Network with SPQ

Abstract(in English) This study evaluate QoS of an Ethernet-based in-vehicle network, which supports SPQ(Strict Priority Queueing), by experiments with actual devices. SPQ is one of QoS controls defined in IEEE 802.1TSN(Time-Sensitive Networking) standard. From the experimental results, the authors confirms that frame losses and large delay can occur for high priority even if SPQ is utilized. In order to solve the problem, the authors also propose a method of combining SPQ and a software-based QoS control and show its effectiveness by experiment.
