Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study is to propose a debugging learning support for novice programmers using the gaze behavior of experts. As the first approach, we gave feedback to proficient users on their gazing behavior during programming debugging and interviewed them about their cognitive processes. Based on the results of the interviews and the analysis of gaze behavior, we developed a cognitive process model of experts debugging. However, most of the visualized information was based on gaze transitions, and it was difficult to see the characteristics of the cognitive process. In this paper, we improve the previously proposed model and develop a model that focuses more on the cognitive process during programming debugging.
