Abstract(in English) Dense deployment of automotive FMCW radars will cause serious inter-radar interference which results in miss-detection of the target in near future. The authors have proposed the iterative interference suppression scheme which detects and suppresses wideband interference in the time domain by iterative interference threshold control, however it can fail the wideband interference detection according to the locations of the interference radar and the targets, and/or the increasing number of interference radars. To solve this problem, this report proposes a novel wideband interference suppression scheme for FMCW radar using envelope detection and sorting based interference detection threshold control and confirms the performance improvement by computer simulations.
