Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, FANET has been attracting attention for use in environments where any network is not available such as in disaster situations. Examples of FANET usage include disaster site mapping, disaster victim search, and temporary alternative networks. However, the UAV used in FANET has a short flight time. Therefore, it is not easy to operate a network constructed with UAVs for a long time. In this study, we propose a UAV placement method that is aware of the UAV's remaining battery level for the long-term operation of FANET. We evaluated the effectiveness of the proposed method using computer simulations about UAV operating time, a number of UAV exchanges, and FANET operating time. Our evaluations demonstrate that the proposed method can long-term operation of FANET.
