| Abstract(in English) | This paper reviews the topics related to optical fibers presented in 47th ECOC2021, which was held simultaneously in Bordeaux, France, and online from September 13 to 16, 2021. Nearly half of the reports are about space-division multiplexing, and among them, multi-core fiber technologies are very valuable in that the practical applications such as data center transmission and cabling for high density transmission are actively discussed. In addition, single-mode fibers, fiber amplifications and micro-structured fibers are also provided. |
