Abstract(in English) | When considering a new service using network, we need to clarify the relationship between the quality of the emerging service and the quality of the underlying network. We have constructed services on the Internet by adapting to the quality of the network. This, however, restricts the freedom for services. We study how fluctuations in underlying network quality affects the services with robotics devices that are controlled over networks from remote systems. We will conduct remote control experiments using ROS2, a platform for robotics development, to clarify the effects of pseudo latency and packet loss on the behavior of robotic devices in a network environment with inserted latency and packet loss. We measure the intermittency ratio, a Quality of Service metrics that we proposed earlier, and discuss the network quality required by network-controlled robotics devices. |
