[Poster Presentation] Improvement of SNR in Nonlinear Distortion Correction for Sinusoidal Signals Using LSTM

Abstract(in English) In recent years, neural networks have been applied to time-series acoustic signal processing, but nevertheless acoustic signal processing using neural networks generates large amount of noise. However, methods to reduce this noise have not been studied, and neural network are not suitable for applications of acoustic signal processing that require high SNR (signal to noise ratio), such as a distortion correction caused by slight nonlinearities in acoustic equipment. Therefore, in this study, we researched methods for improving the SNR in time-series acoustic signal processing using a three-layer LSTM (long short-term memory) which is suitable for time-series data prediction. In this paper, as a first step, we report methods to improve the SNR in the distortion correction for sinusoidal and sinusoidal sweep signals with slight nonlinear distortions.
