Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, with the increase in the speed and capacity of optical transmission networks, it is necessary to operate them in a way that makes efficient use of wavelength resources. For efficient use of wavelength resources, the RSA algorithm has been proposed to improve the efficiency of wavelength utilization by routing and spectrum allocation of optical paths. When the path length of an optical path is changed by devising a routing method, it is necessary to guarantee the transmission quality and select the appropriate modulation mode. In this paper, we propose a RSA method that considers transmission quality and modulation in optical transmission networks. In the proposed method, the wavelength utilization of the optical transmission network can be improved by routing with the smaller wavelength number when searching for the optical path. We take into account the change of the required OSNR and frequency bandwidth of the optical path due to the change of the modulation mode, which leads to a more realistic optical path design. We evaluate the performance of the proposed method for optical transmission networks with simulation. In numerical examples, we show that the wavelength utilization efficiency is improved by applying our proposed method.
