Abstract(in English) | In a remote control system where a user operates a remote haptic interface device by using a local one while watching video, we examine influences of the network delay and the movement velocity of haptic interface device under the adaptive viscoelasticity control with prediction, which was proposed previously. The control dynamically changes the elastic coefficient and viscosity coefficient according to the network delay and movement velocity, and it predicts the future position of haptic interface device to improve the interactivity. By QoE (Quality of Experience) assessment, we demonstrate that there exists the optimum prediction time depending on the network delay, and the optimum prediction time is hardly dependent on the movement velocity of the haptic interface device. |
