Development of 1mW Class Rectenna for 920-MHz Band Wireless Power Transfer System

Abstract(in English) The time and effort required to replace and recharge the batteries of wearable devices has become a problem in medical and welfare fields. To solve the problem of power supply for wearable devices, a wireless power transfer (WPT) system in the 920-MHz band has been proposed. To realize this WPT system, a highly efficient and low-power rectenna is required. The purpose of this study is to develop a high efficiency and low power rectenna in the 920-MHz band. As a first step, we developed a 1 mW class 920-MHz band charge pump rectifier circuit. We designed the rectifier circuit to achieve an output DC voltage of 3.0 V at an input power of 0 dBm. As a result of measurement experiments, a rectifier efficiency of 62.3 % and an output voltage of 2.85 V were obtained at an input power of -0.42 dBm.
