Abstract(in English) | Toward a sustainable society in the 2050s, zero-energy buildings have been proposed, which consume virtually no energy by utilizing various facilities and data. However, conventional methods that collect sensor data in the cloud and train models in a centralized manner may pose privacy and security issues. One way to protect such data is through federated learning, where models are trained on edge devices and then aggregated in the cloud. In this presentation, we describe the design and implementation of a simulator that can run tens or hundreds of thousands of buildings simultaneously, which was created to apply the federated learning to building control. |
