Abstract(in English) | In-band full-duplex utilizes the same frequency band to transmit and receive at the same time. However, the presence of self-interference (SI) makes demodulation difficult and must hence be cancelled. When using a high peak-to-average power ratio signal such as an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing signal, the nonlinear amplification of the power amplifier degrades the SI cancellation performance. Therefore, we have proposed a method to improve the amount of self-interference cancellation by using the companding method. Since the companding method degrades the BER performance of the desired signal, it is necessary to derive the optimum companding function from the viewpoint of BER. In this report, we optimize the root based, $mu$-law, and exponential companding parameters and reveal the amount of improvement in BER by the companding method. |
