Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes the analysis of sequential sleep stage focused on previous and after of WAKE stage (shallow sleep) based on the differences which were discovered through the comparison of the feature importance of each frequency of power spectrum calculated from Random Forests (RF). The RF was trained with the power spectrum of bio-vibration data during WAKE/non-WAKE. From the result, the following implications have been revealed: (1) healthy subjects tend to have continuos WAKE; while (2) SAS subjects tend to have a higher frequency of sudden WAKE from deep sleep (i.e., micro-WAKE) than healthy subjects; (3) based on these differences between SAS subjects and healthy subjects, the designed conditions distinguish the nine SAS subjects from nine healthy subjects, and it is expected that the conditions have the potential of the novel index for SAS detection; and (4) micro-WAKE in SAS subjects is a negative chain that leads to unstable breathing, further increases in apnea/hypopnea events, and an increase in micro-WAKE.
