Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optical coherence tomography (OCT) has been widely used to diagnose calcified areas in coronary arteries in the last decade. It can automatically extract coronary stents, evaluate the lumen, and output 3D images. However, automatic extraction of calcified areas has not been studied until recently, and there is room for improvement in the visualization method of the extracted regions. In percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), if the calcified area is more than 180 degrees contiguous and the thickness is more than 0.5 mm, diastolic dysfunction is considered a problem. In this paper, calcified areas were automatically extracted from coronary artery OCT images, and their continuity was represented as ring shape and thickness information as color information.
