[Invited Lecture] Sub-1GHz Wireless Coexistence of IEEE 802.11ah and IEEE 802.15g

Abstract(in English) 920 MHz (Sub-1 GHz) has been attracting attention as a wireless communication band for the Internet of Things (IoT by low power consumption and wide area coverage. Mutual interference between wireless communication systems, however, will become an issue when the IoT becomes more widespread, due to the limited radio frequency resources available and the fact that multiple wireless systems are introduced to market. In particular, mutual interference be-tween IEEE 802.15.4g and IEEE 802.11ah is considered to be a big potential issue. In this presentation, I’ll introduce the challenges of wireless coexistence between IEEE 802.15.4g and IEEE 802.11ah with touching on IEEE 802.19.3 standardization and simulation results in the Sub-1 GHz band.
