| Abstract(in English) | We are developing a system that uses edge AI to recognize hand poses and use them to unlock and lock smart locks. In this paper, we report on the challenges of hand pose recognition by machine learning on edge devices. By measuring the amount of memory used for machine learning on the edge device, we found that the memory is mainly used for manipulating the machine learning model, and that the edge device alone runs out of memory. In addition, we found out that the microUSB cable is not sufficient to supply not only memory but also voltage when performing machine learning, and that it is necessary to use an AC adapter with a higher voltage to supply power. |
