Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In March 2020, a global stock market crash occurred as a result of the spread of Covid-19. However, the stock prices recovered within a few months due to monetary easing by the central banks around the world. Moreover, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the Nasdaq Composite Index reached all-time highs. The economy was expected to take a serious hit, but with the exception of a few sectors, such as the airline industry, the economy was rather buoyant. The semiconductor industry is currently enjoying the benefits of this economic boom. In Japan, however, there has been little progress in DX, and there are fears that the economy will decline as the monetary easing that has been implemented as a Covid-19 countermeasure will soon end. It has also exposed the low level of self-sufficiency in semiconductors. In this paper, we would like to discuss the decline of the Japanese economy and the Japanese semiconductor industry, and at the same time, consider the physics of money as a clue to the revival of the industry. |
