Message effective duration distribution of disaster and crisis management report sent from quasi-zenith satellite Michibiki

Abstract(in English) The quasi-zenith satellite Michibiki broadcasts not only signals for satellite positioning, but also augmentation message signals that improve positioning accuracy and message signals to prompt disasters and crises. On the other hand, in the mobile receiver, not all the messages can be received due to signal obstruction and fading. In response to such message reception failure, the same message is continuously transmitted multiple times in this disaster and crisis management report. Therefore, in the receiver, it is conceivable to start the receiver after sleeping for a certain period of time and apply intermittent reception to sleep again to extend the battery life. Here, we report the duration of the disaster and crisis management report message and the message transmission interval using Michibiki's past message archive.
