Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Cognitive flexibility refers to the ability of humans to adapt their cognitive processing strategies when faced with new and unexpected situations in the environment, and the cognitive tasks that are often used to measure this include the WCST, AUT, and RAT. Whereas, there is an aspect of cognitive flexibility that cannot be measured by these cognitive tasks. This is the ability to think about the task at hand without being bound by past experiences or the perspective habit of looking at things. In this study, we proposed a new cognitive task using photographs, and compared its response tendencies with those of the AUT. We also examined the relationship between these tasks and daily mindfulness.
