Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the isolated islands of the Seto Inland Sea, depopulation is increasing and the information infrastructure is not well developed. In the event of a long-term power blackout due to a large-scale disaster, it will be difficult to confirm the safety of the people by telephone or Internet. In the paper, we present an overview of a safety confirmation system based on Sub-GHz radio system using a training ship of a maritime college as a telecommunication base station. In the paper, we summarize the outline of the system and the basic experiments conducted on Heigun Island in Yamaguchi prefecture.
