Abstract(in English) | Radiation pattern of the laser that uses the Whispering Gallery Mode (WGM) becomes a rotationally symmetrical, because electromagnetic waves repeatedly reflect around the circumference of the cylindrical or spherical optical resonator. If the directivity can be selected by controlling the radiation pattern, the WGM laser can be applied to optical beam steering devices and switching devices. In this report, the radiation directivity of a cylindrical microcavity laser in the far field is analyzed. Further, we investigate the radiation directivity control of cylindrical microcavity laser for application to devices. |
