A Basic Study on Frequency Characteristics of the Influence of Rebar on Wireless Power Transfer by Magnetic Resonant Coupling

Abstract(in English) One of the problems in wireless power transfer using magnetic resonant coupling is that the ingress of metallic foreign objects between the coils causes power loss and deteriorates the transmission efficiency. For locations where it is necessary to transmit power through a reinforced concrete wall that utilizes rebar, one of the metallic foreign bodies, it is necessary to consider transmission based on the assumption that the rebar has been pre-infiltrated. The experimental and simulation results show that the transmission efficiency decreases as the resonant frequency increases. From the results of experiments and theoretical calculations, it was found that the transmission efficiency decreases as the frequency increases when there is a rebar between the transmitter and receiver coils.
