Study on digital pre-distortion with I/O interfaces for analogue baseband signal over satellite channel

Abstract(in English) Non-linear distortion caused by the satellite transponder negatively impacts multilevel modulation schemes. We studied digital pre-distortion (DPD) techniques to mitigate the deterioration of the reception performance and developed an ISDB-S3 transmitter embedded DPD. Our analysis indicated its effectiveness for 32APSK over a satellite channel. Aiming for improving the versatility of DPD, we consider an external DPD adder, which adds its function to an analogue baseband modulation signal. We report on the reception performance for 64APSK over a satellite channel when using the external DPD adder.
