Abstract(in English) In this paper, we consider a cell-free multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems operated in a dynamic time division duplex (TDD) mode, proposing a joint antenna allocation and beamforming algorithm with the aim to balance the system throughput and the user fairness. Conventional approaches are designed to maximize either the overall system throughput or the worst-case data rate among users, which are known to possess a trade-off relationship. Aiming to improve both performance and fairness, in this paper we instead consider a system performance maximization with the geometric mean objective. To elaborate, we formulate an optimization problem maximizing the geometric mean of both uplink and downlink user rates, which is then relaxed by successive convex approximations. Numerical simulations are offered to evaluate the proposed algorithm compared with the state-of-the-art methods, showing the superiority of the proposed method.
