Abstract(in English) | One of the main challenges in realizing uplink scalable cell-free massive multi-input multi-output (CF-mMIMO) is capacity constraint on fronthaul links connecting spatially distributed access points (APs) and a central processing unit (CPU). In this paper, we investigate a robust receiver design considering the effect of information compression with the use of low-resolution analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) equipped on every AP, while assuming the power-saving and low-cost APs. The proposed scheme allows us to jointly estimate channel and data signals via bilinear Gaussian belief propagation (BiGaBP) on the basis of double-precision signals received at the CPU and quantized signals sent from the APs via the fronthaul links. Finally, simulation results show the efficacy of our proposed method in terms of the bit error rate (BER) performance. |
