Abstract(in English) | We have been studying in-band full-duplex as a technology for effective use of radio resources. In particular, we are tackling digital self-interference cancellation to realize in-band full-duplex. In this poster presentation, we introduce our efforts to construct a wireless experiment system to evaluate the performance of digital self-interference cancellation. We use Universal Software Radio Peripherals (USRPs), one of the software radios, to construct the experiment system. The currently available USRPs do not have in-band full-duplex capability, limiting the evaluation of digital self-interference cancellation performance. This limitation is the phase noise caused by the local oscillators being separated between the transmitter and receiver. Due to this phase noise, the cancellation performance does not improve even if the amplifier's nonlinearity and the mixer's imbalance are faithfully learned and reproduced. Two prototypes that do not deal with this phase noise and two prototypes that deal with this phase noise in constructing a wireless experiment system are introduced. In addition, we explain the effect on the performance evaluation of digital self-interference cancellation. |
