Performance Evaluation of All-Pass Fractional Delay Digital Filters under Coefficient Quantization

Abstract(in English) In this paper, performance of IIR fractional delay digital filters given by all-pass transfer functions is evaluated in consideration of quantization effects of filter coefficients. In digital filters, characteristic degradation caused by coefficient quantization depends on filter structures. Hence, in this paper, fractional delay digital filters are realized using standard filter structures such as direct-form structure and lattice structure, and each filter coefficient is quantized to finite bit precision. Performance of fractional delay digital filters given in this way is evaluated in terms of magnitude response and group delay response.
