Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Elastic Optical Network (EON) suffers from the spectrum fragmentation problem. By using Slicing & Stitching technology, it is possible to allocate requests to the fragmented slots. There are two methods of allocating requests using this technique. First, the requested optical signal is split at the origin node only. Second, the requested optical signal is split at both the source node and the intermediate nodes. However, the second method uses integer linear programming to perform the allocation, which is very time-consuming. We propose an allocation method using a heuristic algorithm, which is faster than the integer linear programming method, and evaluate its performance using computer simulations.
