Abstract(in English) In recent years, decarbonization has been promoted due to environmental concerns. Therefore, the demand for lithium-ion batteries is increasing for use in electric vehicles and electricity storage. In order to use lithium-ion batteries, it is important to understand state of charge(SOC). The Kalman filter is often used to estimate the SOC. The Kalman filter estimates the changing internal state of the battery and corrects the estimated internal state from the observed values to obtain a highly accurate estimation. But, the conventional method does not give good results when the open circuit voltage (OCV) variation is small compared to the SOC variation, such as in lithium-ion batteries using iron olivine as the positive electrode. In this study, we aim to solve these problems and improve the accuracy of SOC estimation for lithium-ion batteries.
