Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Associated with the spread of the novel coronavirus infectious disease called COVID-19, the form of university classes has dramatically changed and informalization has accelerated. Particularly, for large-sized classes attended by over 100 students, it is difficult to secure adequate social distance, posing a problem of not being able to contain all the students in a classroom. The burden on faculties responsible for large-size classes under the COVID-19 pandemic has become heavier rapidly and they are facing many challenges including infection prevention measures, preparation for on-line classes and counselling for individual students in addition to preparation for regular classes. With this background, focusing on large-sized classes, this study aims to design a “Hy-Limited Class ” - a hybrid between face-to-face and on-line classes which emphases the reduction of the burden on the faculties. As the significance of this study, new designing guidelines for large-sized university classes under the COVID-19 pandemic are expected to be obtained. In the second chapter, the trend of researches on hybrid classes inside and outside Japan and the positioning of this study are explained. In the third chapter, a Hy-Limited Class is designed based on an instructional design process named ADDIE Model. |
