Impact of Visual Information on Estimated Emotions from Skeleton Motion

Abstract(in English) Humans express emotions not only by facial expressions but also by body motion, and it is expected that they will be applied to robots' emotional expressions by utilizing their characteristics, but the cues to physical movements in emotion estimation are still unknown. Therefore, in this study, we used OpenPose to extract actual human body motion information and modulated the shoulder angle of the generated skeletal video to create a visual stimulus. We conducted an evaluation experiment and selected videos that was easy to estimate. In addition, we quantitatively analyzed the cues of physical exercise in emotion estimation by changing the shoulder angle from the video.
