Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The cyber-physical system (CPS) is expected to be an essential infrastructure in future society thanks to the recent significant progress of high-speed and large-scale computing systems. In the CPS, many varieties of physical-space information are gathered by sensors and utilized to reconstruct the system in the cyber-space for smart control, management, and development. The emulation of the radio propagation channel and wireless communication performance in the CPS is one of the important issues because wireless communication is utilized in many Internet of Things (IoT) services. In this paper, we introduce the research activities of the authors' group about the measurement and modeling of actual propagation environments to realize the site-specific radio propagation simulation for the CPS. The first activity is the three-dimensional (3D) environment measurement by a laser scanner and simulation technique based on the Physical optics approach. The next is the material parameter estimation technique of indoor building materials by the free space method. The last one is the moving object detection and modeling technique for dynamic propagation environments such as the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and smart office system where there are several vehicles and pedestrians in the environments. The measurement results which were conducted in the university campus are shown, and the effectiveness and applicability of the modeling methods are discussed. |
