Abstract(in English) | Optical microresonators efficiently enable the nonlinear optical effects even with a small input light power. Optical frequency comb light is obtained by four-wave mixing in an optical microresonator, whose longitudinal mode is approximately evenly spaced in frequency. This novel microresonator frequency comb attracts attention because it can overcome various limitations of the conventional optical frequency comb. Optical communication, LiDAR, integrated photonics, sensing, and astronomy are some applications of this device. This talk will review the history of a microresonator optical frequency comb and review recent topics, including optical communication applications. |
