Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Proteus effect is known as a phenomenon in which the behavior of an individual, within online virtual worlds, is changed by the appearances of their avatar. In this study, we conducted an experiment in which a consensus game was played on a web conferencing system using Zoom and SnapCamera in order to verify the Proteus effect of continuously using an attractive avatar during a web conference. The results support the hypothesis that the Proteus effect is observed in web conferencing with an attractive avatar superimposed on the user's face, and that it improves the user's own extraversion evaluation.
