Detection of phonons with a single Cooper-pair transistor

Abstract(in English) We proposed a use of a single Cooper-pair transistor as a sensitive phonon detector applied to the phononics. We fabricated some devices with mesoscopic Al/AlOx/Al junctions and confirmed the operation. The sensitivity of the detector is approximately 1000 times as large as that in the traditional superconducting tunnel junctions used for the same purpose.
