A Study on Permittivity Estimation of Building Materials

Abstract(in English) The authors are working on the estimate of the indoor propagation characteristics using the electromagnetic analytical technique. At this time, the permittivity of walls and ceilings is an important value for performing electromagnetic analysis. On the other hand, we can think about the reinforced concrete is the compounded materials of the concrete and the reinforcing rod, but it is very difficult to measure the complex relative permittivity of real building materials. Therefore, we are considering modeling on a computer and estimating the complex relative permittivity from electromagnetic analysis. These are two well-known methods, the standing wave method and the permeation method. These is a method for actual measurement, but we confirmed whether the permittivity could be estimated using these two methods in electromagnetic analysis. And confirmed the characteristics by actual measurement. In this paper, we report the results obtained in estimating the complex relative permittivity using the above method.
