Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) GPS positioning is calculated from the pseudo range calculated by the observed propagation time between GPS satellites and GPS receivers. When a reflected GPS signal is received, a longer pseudo range than the original linear distance is unfortunately calculated, so the positioning accuracy might be degraded. The pseudo range correction method that solves this problem needs to estimate the numbers of reflections and incident angles of the reflected GPS signals. In the conventional estimation using only the received GPS signals power, the estimation accuracies were insufficient. In this paper, we propose new estimation models that estimate the number of reflections and the incident angles respectively, by using not only the received GPS signal power but also the pseudo range before the correction. It is confirmed that the pseudo range correction using the proposed estimation models can improve calculated distance errors compared with the conventional estimation model.
