Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we propose a spatial cognition system based on plane recognition as a support system for visually impaired people. The view point is assumed to be a center of the plane, and the plane information is obtained by using a sensor attached to the user's head. The inclination and distance of the plane are transformed to auditory and tactile information. In order to assess the usability of the proposed system, experiments are performed using a simulation model. From the results of experiments it is found that the proposed method is an effective system as a spacial cognition system for visually impaired people. |
