Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The authors have been studying medical applications of microwave energy which generates thermal effect in the biological tissue. Especially, the thermal effect can be employed for several treatments. These techniques are also related to the techniques of antennas and propagation. In addition, antenna development, calculation of electromagnetic field in the body, heating experiment by the tissue-equivalent phantom etc. play an important role. In this report, these techniques will be explained by introducing antenna developments for hyperthermia, surgical energy devices, and denervation.
