A Study on Boundary Element Analysis of Accelerator Beam Pipes with Walls of Finite Conductivity

Abstract(in English) Recent high-energy particle accelerators and X-ray free electron laser projects need a better understanding of electromagnetic interaction of relativistic electron beams with accelerator beam pipes. In this paper, we report frequency domain calculations of resistive wall wake fields by a relativistic charged particle beam traversing in a circular beam pipe with walls of finite conductivity by using a boundary element method based on combining a magnetic field integral equation with a surface impedance boundary condition.
