[Invited Talk] Channel Estimation for Body-Coupled Communication with an Optical Sensor and Machine Learning

Abstract(in English) Body-coupled communication (BCC) is a short-rage wireless technology that can link communication devices with a human body. The BCC channel is formed by capacitive coupling among the body, devices, and earth. When another person approaches the BCC system, he is inevitably included in the system because of the coupling. In this situation, eavesdropping and accidental data transmission can occur. To address the security problems, we must estimate the existence of the unwanted person from information of received signals. We utilized an optical sensor to correctly measure received signals because the BCC channels are easily disturbed by electronic measurement systems. An attempt was made to estimate the existence of the unwanted person from the received signal information. The person can be detected with an accuracy of 90% by using machine learning.
