Abstract(in English) In this study, we are focusing on the Visible Light Communication system using LED as a transmitter and an event camera as a receiver. The event camera is a camera that has the feature of detecting the change in luminance when it changes beyond a threshold level. When a conventional image sensor is used as a receiver, there are problems such as blurring and saturation of pixel values due to the influence of ambient light. Under such circumstances, it becomes difficult to identify the blinking state of the LED, and accurate signal demodulation cannot be performed. In the case of an event camera, blurring does not occur due to the characteristic that each pixel detects changes in luminance asynchronously. In addition, because of its wide dynamic range, light saturation is rarely occurred because the camera has a wide dynamic range. Based on the above advantages, we propose a visible light communication system that transmits data by blinking LEDs and demodulates the signal by detecting the blinking with an event camera.
